His familial ties to the industry are significant, with his grandfather’s tenure as a purchasing manager at Standard Motor Company preceding the establishment of an agency alongside Christian’s father, catering to the supply of motor components in the Midlands.

Among his siblings are two brothers, Jamie and Guy. Christian’s educational journey took him through Arnold Lodge School in Leamington before he furthered his studies at Warwick School.

Racing Career

Starting his career racing karts, Horner earned a Formula Renault scholarship in 1991 and competed in the 1992 British Formula Renault Championship with Manor Motorsport, finishing the season as a winner and the highest placed rookie.

He then progressed to British Formula Three, making his debut in 1994 with the Fortec team. Moving to the ADR team in 1995 and then to the TOM’S team in 1996, he also competed in British Formula Two in the same year.

In 2005, the Red Bull Racing team brought Horner to Formula One, where he became the youngest of the team principals at the time.
