Christian Edward Johnston Horner, hailing from a lineage deeply rooted in the automotive sector, entered the world on November 16, 1973, amidst the quaint charm of Leamington Spa, United Kingdom.
His familial ties to the industry are significant, with his grandfather’s tenure as a purchasing manager at Standard Motor Company preceding the establishment of an agency alongside Christian’s father, catering to the supply of motor components in the Midlands.
Among his siblings are two brothers, Jamie and Guy. Christian’s educational journey took him through Arnold Lodge School in Leamington before he furthered his studies at Warwick School.
Racing Career
Starting his career racing karts, Horner earned a Formula Renault scholarship in 1991 and competed in the 1992 British Formula Renault Championship with Manor Motorsport, finishing the season as a winner and the highest placed rookie.
He then progressed to British Formula Three, making his debut in 1994 with the Fortec team. Moving to the ADR team in 1995 and then to the TOM’S team in 1996, he also competed in British Formula Two in the same year.
In 2005, the Red Bull Racing team brought Horner to Formula One, where he became the youngest of the team principals at the time.
The team’s success has continued under Horner’s direction. In 2011, the team clinched their second Constructors’ Championship, with Sebastian Vettel becoming the world’s youngest double-champion.
Following up in 2012, the team secured a third Constructors’ Championship, and in 2013, they achieved their fourth consecutive F1 Constructors’ Championship. Red Bull Racing finished second in the F1 Constructors’ Championship in 2021 with drivers Sergio Pérez and Max Verstappen, and in 2022, they clinched the F1 Constructors’ Championship with the same drivers. Max Verstappen claimed the F1 Drivers’ Championship with Sergio Pérez securing third place.

Personal Life
Christian Horner, F1 team principal, dated Geri Halliwell of the Spice Girls, got engaged in 2014, married in 2015, and had a son in 2017.
Horner has a daughter with his former partner. He received an OBE in 2013 for his motorsport services.
He and Halliwell split their time between homes in Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire, with a country estate featuring a swimming pool, boating lake, and farm.
